Our unique and exciting curriculum keeps kids ENGAGED! We offer a stimulating S.T.E.M. curriculum and a positive and supportive learning environment! Our students experience success every day- fostering a LOVE for school and learning.
We emphasize personalized learning to improve student achievement. Personalized learning is student-centered and allows the student to drive their learning. All students will receive teacher directed, on grade level or above instruction during the core instruction blocks in reading, math, and science.

The result: students who are independent and confident, inquisitive and enthusiastic, responsible and compassionate. We believe the elementary school years are the most formative of a child’s life. These early years can breed intellectual apathy or curiosity to seek knowledge.

Eagles S.O.A.R.
Our mascot is the Eagle. Eagles know how to climb high into the air without fighting against the elements. They work with their environment to soar. Eagles can even fly, carrying more than their own weight. An eagle does most of its work when it first leaves the ground. After the eagle leaves the ground, the strength of their beginning helps them soar high. At NGA, eagles SOAR:

NGA's Founders
Dr. Sam Misher is a former principal with over 20 years of administrative experience. He has coached and trained several teacher leaders and assistant principals who have become strong principals in North Carolina. He is most passionate about student achievement and creating a school climate conducive for learning. Through his innovative skills, dedication and perseverance, Next Generation Academy (NGA) was formed in 2018. NGA will continue to provide a quality education in a safe environment. We can change the world, one child at a time.
Dr. Pam Misher is a former principal with over 20 years of administrative experience. As a former university leadership coach, she has coached over 40 administrative interns to work in high-poverty, high need schools as assistant principals and principals. She strongly believes quality professional development for school leaders, that strengthens instructional skills, is needed to foster effective schools. Additionally, she is the co-Founder of Next Generation Academy and is a Children's Literature Author. Encouraging students to read is the door to ending poverty.
